Status:

The Project is currently at 35% Design and is still pending environmental clearance. The Project will progress to 65% after approval of the next phase of the design contract  

Location:

Harbor Blvd from the US 50 On/Off ramp to Industrial Blvd; Industrial Blvd from Harbor Blvd to the Palamidessi Bridge; Lake Washington Blvd from the Palamidessi Bridge to Southport Parkway; Southport Parkway from Lake Washington Blvd to Promenade Street. 

 

Description or Scope:

The Port Area Infrastructure and Complete Streets Project will not only include road rehabilitation but will also incorporate complete streets elements, including utility upgrades, filling sidewalk gaps, and adding bike lanes to enhance safety and to meet the needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and public transportation uses.   

Project Benefits:

Complete Streets projects are designed to enable safe use and efficient movement and are designed to meet the needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and public transportation users. In addition, improving pavement conditions will enhance the safety of drivers.
